Implementation of a battery of hydrocyclones HC-150x6 for efficient hydroclassification
Supply and commissioning of a hydrocyclone battery HC-150x6 designed for high-precision material classification to 0.10 mm size fraction. The equipment was manufactured according to the customer’s technical specifications and is intended to reduce circulating load and improve the quality of the overflow product.
Technical Specifications:
- Classification size: up to 0.10 mm,
- Reduction of circulating load: up to 60–70%,
- Overflow purity: content of +0.10 mm class does not exceed 5%.
Compliance with these parameters was confirmed by laboratory analysis using sieves with a 0.1 mm mesh size. Testing was performed onsite.
Solutions:
- Achieved full integration of the hydrocyclone battery into the existing circuit with minimal infrastructure changes, focusing on the fine 0.10 mm size fraction.
- Modernized overflow/sand discharge units to minimize loss of valuable product.
- Classification efficiency increased from ≤50% to 95% (for 0.1 mm size fraction).
- Separation size shifted from 0.5 mm (old equipment) to 0.1 mm without reduction in throughput.
- Significantly reduced the volume of material recirculation, resulting in decreased energy consumption and lower load on the processing line.
